 Holiday Skate Center, Orange

The interior of this skate rink looks to have been last updated around 1982, but the exterior sign is original. And sadly- it shows. I love that my kids spend hot summer afternoons at the same small roller rink thier grandmother enjoyed in the late 1950's....and pass under the same signage as well.

Mud puddles are rare in Orange County.

Huge waves have hit Orange County!  This was taken at a Secret Spot just North of Laguna Beach.  The waves ranged from 6-10 feet this day.

Elvis may have left the building, but he did turn up at the OC Fair.  He was probably on the hunt for some food on a stick!

The piers of Orange County are full of fishermen (or in this case fisher-boys) day and night. In many cases it is a family event, with everyone maning their own rod. Sadly, these fishing trips seem more of an economical necessity than for entertainment. After the father of these little boys caught a fish on his own rod- they yelled with excitement "Pescado Noche!" (or 'Fish Tonight!') celebrating their dinner catch.
