This broken replica of the statue of David lies on Cal State Fullerton's campus. It's said that it once stood tall in a cemetery in Whittier-- the story goes that a professor brought in the broken pieces after the 1987 earthquake rocked it apart. Interesting that the "perfect man" doesn't stand a chance against might mother nature...

Follow up to the story, when I did my campus orientation freshman year they also said that it was laid out exactly the way it fell, and that students rubbed it's behind for luck during finals.

Um, I am one of the 'behind' rubbers. I passed all my finals with flying colors. So you know....I think it works :)
