Fullerton at Night

I always like walking around downtown Fullerton at night. Here's a simple hand held shot of the lit street sign and traffic light at Wilshire Ave.

8.23.10 Watson Drug & Soda Fountain

Possibly the best root beer float I've ever had was recently at Watson Drugs & Soda Fountain in Orange. The little diner has been there since 1899 and was used for scenes in That Thing You Do.

8.22.10 Westminster Mall

Westminster Mall
Westminster, CA. Taken with a Zero Image 2000 pinhole camera. The nice thing about using a camera that is a simple wooden box is 1) No one realizes it's a camera and 2) it requires long exposures, so anything moving a lot doesn't show up in the picture. Like people. Which is why the mall looks empty--but if you look closely you can see people sitting in the chairs down there.

Laundry Love Santa Ana 8.21.10

Every 3rd Thursday a group of volunteers meets at a small laundromat in Santa Ana to help people less fortunate to get their clothes clean. Not only are people doing laundry, but the jukebox is pumpin' out music, people are meeting, talking, and having a great time.  This is called Laundry Love.
