Very few trees in the Orange County area have leaves that change colors and fall to the ground. The start of the fall season is truely seen on trees such as the odd Maple tree, with its signature maple leaf turning all the shades of the sun before finally falling. In this photo, the blinding sun is rising over the San Mateo Creek as seen from San Clemente, Ca. -Any further south and it wouldn't be home. -APE!
Just wanted to take a moment to congratulate OC Daily Photo's Jeff and Dana Sipper on their 10 year (!) Anniversary. I managed to snap this photo of the ever elusive hard-working Jeff, as he slipped out of work a bit early to meticulously pack for their weekend in Las Vegas. Always fun to see the people from behind the lens at weddings still doing the darn thing!
Casino San Clemente opened in 1937 and was a hot spot in its prime, and a destination for celebrities- like Judy Garland, who performed there in its heyday. The Casino is a city landmark and is set to reopen to the public in the near future.
I've never posted more than one photo, but I felt it had to be done in this case.
I was invited to attend Villa Romano Green Farms' "Sapore Del'la Domenica" (Flavor of Sunday) event in San Clemente yesterday, and was beyond charmed by the array of Italian breads, wines, cheeses, honeys (there was mango honey!), kabobs, and olive oil tastings. Needless to say, I made sure to leave with a couple jars of that honey.
