OK, so it's no longer The Pond..... but it's still my neighborhood, and one of the simple pleasures of living near both the Honda Center and Angel Stadium is the opportunity to visit the facilities in the off-hours. Large, empty structures such as arenas & stadiums seem to exert a latent energy....

Nice description, describes the ambience exactly. There's always seems to be the "possibility" of something amazing happening.
