This week I'm continuing with what I think will be a series for a few more weeks (unless my creative attention span interrupts me with something I HAVE to post).
Here is a sculpture I have always liked. It's located about a half mile West of the Brea Mall on Birch (the "back side" of the mall where the Civic Center and post office are located), in front of a housing development. I always liked how the artist was able to make a solid medium seem so light and whimsical with this portrayal of a parent and child at play.
It also struck me that the poor child looks like they are achieving arm stretching g-forces that could catapult it into orbit if one slip of the hand were to occur!
