I spent the weekend photographing the dancers from Tracy Dee Academy of Dance at their annual spring performance. I thought this shot was cute as the little girl seems to be looking on in awe of the older girl, dreaming of the day she can make sure the bottom of her shoe is still intact by lifting it over her head from behind! I mean, be that flexible of a dancer.
Nevermind the old bromide regarding "half empty or half full"....most would see this glass as being totally empty.....but if you look a bit closer......
A silver lining to the cloud of the A-Town development being in stasis, is that we get an unobstructed view of the sky from our doorstep at the Stadium Lofts.....
The Catch has been an Anaheim mainstay for quite a number of years....and when I first moved into the neighborhood, I looked forward to becoming a regular there.
Alas, the A-Town development project dislocated this establishment shortly after I moved in - but it's about to re-open right across the street from my Stadium Lofts location.... can't wait.....
There is an old school batting cage place in Anaheim on Beach Blvd. that seems to have been there a million years. I mean I remember coming here on a very bad date as a teenager. So yes, it must be a MILLION years old then. There are so many things I love about this place: the snack shack that sells authentic Icee drinks, the encouraging words painted on the walls and the insanely vintage automated pitching equipment. Here is 20 secs for you to enjoy...
The Muzeo (museum) in Anaheim recently had a great exhibit about Napoleon. And I loved how they added his image to this window in the building. It was if he was looking out and deciding which part of Orange County he wanted to conquer next.
While visiting the new Muzeo Museum in Anaheim this weekend (ref: last week's pic), I noticed a monument in the plaza outside with an interesting bronze relief depicting various aspects of Anaheim history.
Doesn't this soldier vaguely resemble a popular (or is it populist?) CNN news anchor?
