9.17.2011 Pipes and Drums

Last weekend, I went and checked out the OC Brew Ha Ha Craft Beer festival in Irvine.  Over 60 Breweries were there, showcasing some of the best beer I've had in awhile. Including, my new local favorite, Old Orange Brew Company.

This gentleman, on the bagpipes is part of the OC Fire Authority's Pipes and Drums band.  They brought the house down, playing some of my favorite traditional Irish songs, plus some new ones I'd never heard before.

9.10.2011 Angel Stadium

As we approach the ten year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks in NY, I imagine we'll be seeing more displays of patriotism like this one,this weekend. Taken at Angel Stadium before the Angels and Yankees played last night, during their salute to service men and women.

9.3.2011 Orange Street Fair!

Taken a couple years ago at the Orange International Street Fair.  It's going on all Labor Day weekend, so turn off your computer and go check it out.  Bands, beers, and food... how can you go wrong?

08.26.2011 - Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

    Just wanted to take a moment to congratulate OC Daily Photo's Jeff and Dana Sipper on their 10 year (!) Anniversary. I managed to snap this photo of the ever elusive hard-working Jeff, as he slipped out of work a bit early to meticulously pack for their weekend in Las Vegas. Always fun to see the people from behind the lens at weddings still doing the darn thing!

Finally made it out to the OC Fair on Friday evening.  It's the last weekend, so if you haven't made it out yet... you better get on it!  Make sure you get something fried.... on a stick!

7.30.11 The Bruery Provisions

The wall of wonderful bottles of craft beers at the Bruery Provisions shop on Glassell, just north of the circle.  Their interesting beer flights make it fun place to spend an afternoon.

I have to say, I'm having a lot of fun with the camera in my new phone.  It's replaced the point and shoot I carry with me sometimes.  This was taken around the 4th inning a couple weeks ago.  The Angels won and a good time was had by all!
